The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has notified of a six-day working week with revised bank timings during the Holy Month of Ramadan 2022. The development comes on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for offices to implement a six-days working week and start operations early.
According to the notification, the banks will observe a six-days working week with revised bank timings during the month of Ramadan 2022. “The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will observe six days working week with the following office hours during the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, which shall also be followed by all banks / DFIs / MFBs” the notification reads, while mentioning the new banking hours (bank timings) to be followed during the month of Ramadan 2022.

Furthermore, the notification mentions the bank timings for public dealings (banking hours) during the holy month of Ramadan 2022.

The notification adds that expect Friday, the banks / MFBs may observe extended banking hours for public dealings from 08:00am to 2:00pm (without break) depending on their business requirements.
The new bank timings during the Holy Month of Ramadan 2022 will come into immediate effect and remain in place until modified or withdrawn.
