Netflix is adding a new feature called the ‘Category Hub’ in the TV menu that will allow viewers to find their favorite content more easily. The Category Hub will be displayed at the left-hand menu of the kids’ and adults’ profiles and let subscribers find their favorite genres and discover new categories of movies.
The streaming giant will show viewers the top three category recommendations based on their viewing habits and it will also include curated collections based on holidays. It bears mentioning that Netflix recently introduced the Double Thumbs Up, which lets users inform the streaming giant about the content they loved on the platform.
Netflix on Thursday announced the release of the Category Hub, which is going to allow members across the globe to find different genres and titles in one place, rather than just browser through titles. As mentioned above, the new feature will be available through the left-hand menu on both kids’ and adult’ profiles.
The Category Hub will offer the top three categories based on the user’s viewing habits and comprise a curated collection based on holidays, including International Women’s Day, and Earth Day. It will also show several categories like action, comedy, drama, and horror.
Netflix is constantly working on improving the user experience by introducing changes to its user interface. The streaming giant recently introduced a Double Thumbs Up, which lets users inform the service about what they like on the platform.
Furthermore, the company is working to crackdown on password sharing across households, which isn’t allowed by the streaming giant. Netflix is working on introducing a feature that will allow accounts to be shared outside of the member’s household by paying an extra charge.
