A huge fire erupted at Sabzi Mandi (vegetable market) in Islamabad and ashes from the incident have spread in surrounding areas due to heavy winds. According to the details, the fire broke out at Sabzi Mandi behind Metro Cash and Carry in Islamabad around 1:00AM on Tuesday.
The fire has reportedly burned down entire Sabzi Mandi in Islamabad, including the warehouses in the area. Furthermore, the rescue teams and fire brigade arrived at the scene shorty after the fire broke out and they are still working to control the blaze.
Meanwhile, there are no reports of any loss of life at the Sabzi Mandi as the fire broke out late at night while nobody was present at the scene. Moreover, the authorities have not revealed the cause of the fire, which has occurred on the night of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Diversion Placed
The Islamabad Traffic Police have also placed diversions in Sabzi Mandi area behind Metro Cash and Carry because of the fire and rescue teams working on the scene. They have advised citizens to avoid using Faqeer Epi Road towards Sabzi Mandi and back side Metro Cash and Carry Road.
