TikToker Dolly Issues Clarification on Margalla Hills Fire

TikToker Dolly, who has been target of public scrutiny for setting fire to section of Margalla Hills in Islamabad for a video, has issued a clarification on social media regarding the whole ordeal. According to the details, Humaira Asghar, popularly known as TikToker Dolly, claimed that her video was not shot in National Park area, but instead on an area on the motorway.

“I feel compelled to make this video because social media has disappointed me very much.” TikToker Dolly said in her clarification video. “Taking such a big step, making a video go viral without knowing the reality and creating an issue for a celebrity because social media does create problems for celebrities.” she added.

“You guys should have talked to me first, investigated and found out what the reality is before posting the matter on social media.” TikToker Dolly said in her video, adding that reality of the matter is entirely different and it has been years since she has been to the Kohsar National Park.

TikToker Dolly claimed that her viral video was not made in the Margalla Hills area, but instead in an area somewhere on the motorway as she was returning from her makeup class in Haripur. Humaira Asghar added that she will upload another video with a local’s interview to back up her claims and requested her followers to make the new video viral just as they did for the fake video.

In the other video, we can see TikToker Dolly wearing the same dress as her viral video with a fire behind her. Furthermore, the video shows a billboard on the motorway confirming her claims about the location of the shoot. She also talked to a local man, who explained the reason behind the fire, which he claimed to have started himself.

According to the man, the fire is used to drive away snakes in the area as they pose a danger to their children and livestock. The caption of the video also reads, “As you can see in this video, the billboard indicated the place which is motorway and not National Park Kohsar. Listen to the person in this video carefully so that you know the reality.”

It is pertinent to mention that a First Information Report (FIR) has been launched against TikToker Dolly on the complaint of Capital Development Authority (CDA) under wildlife and environment protection laws for setting fire to an area of the Margalla Hills national park.

In the viral video, TikToker Dolly was seen wearing a silver ball gown and walking in front of a burning hillside, which many assumed was the Margalla Hills National Park. The video sparked outrage on social media and many demanded serious punishment for the TikToker.
