The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has announced a change in the exam timings for ongoing matric examination amid the prevailing heatwave in Islamabad.
According to the details, the decision comes a day after the meeting of Inter-Provincial Education Ministers held under Federal Education Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain in the chair.
In a notification, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) announced that matric exam timings will now take place from 8:00AM and end at 11:00AM compared to previous timings of 9:00AM to 12:00 noon.
The new matric exam timings will be applicable from May 23, 2022 (Monday) and the decision will protect students from the sweltering heat and extreme climate conditions.
It is pertinent to mention that Federal Directorate of Education has also changed timings for all public and private educational institutes in Islamabad. According to the details, the new school timings will be from 8:00AM to 11:00AM and exams shall also be conducted in the same time.
