There are several social media reports about Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) launching Suzuki Mehran 2022 Limited Edition in Pakistan for a very cheap price. However, the news regarding the country’s national car is fake and there is no Suzuki Mehran Limited Edition in the works by the company.
According to the social media posts, Suzuki Mehran 2022 Limited Edition was being launched in the country for Rs. 825,000 and many people were excited by the news since getting a brand new car in this price point is next to impossible considering the prices of vehicles have skyrocketed in recent months due to depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee.
The social media reports stated that Pak Suzuki Motor Company was relaunching the Suzuki Mehran VX (base variant) with an AC, which wasn’t included in the original production. However, the news circulating on social media is completely fake and Pakistan’s national car is not coming a comeback.
It is pertinent to mention that Pak Suzuki Motor Company discontinued Suzuki Mehran in 2019 and replaced it with Suzuki Alto 660cc, which is currently the company’s cheapest hatchback option in the local automotive market. Even if the automaker was planning on relaunching ‘Boss’ as the Suzuki Mehran 2022 Limited Edition, it would not cost Rs. 825,000 since prices have gone up significantly since the vehicle was discontinued.
