Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar Housing Scheme Put on Hold by SBP

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has notified banks to hold any disbursements under the Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar (MPMG) scheme (aka Government Markup Subsidy (G-MSS) for Housing Finance).

According to the details, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that Government of Pakistan is considering to review/revise features of the Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar Scheme in light of the current macroeconomic situation.

Therefore, the banks/DFIs/MFBs have been instructed to pause disbursements under Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar Scheme (MPMG) from July 1, 2022 till August 31, 2022. However, in those cases where partial disbursements have already been made till June 30, 2022, banks/DFIs/MFBs may release remaining disbursements to the applicants.

Further instructions will be communicated in this regard by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Moreover, the SBP has also instructed banks to pause disbursements under the Kamyab Jawan Program.
