Apple has started iPhone 14 series trial production and mass production is likely to begin next month, people familiar with the matter told ITHome. The Cupertino-based company has also told suppliers that initial sales for the iPhone 14 series is expected to be higher than the iPhone 13.
The company’s claims are in line with analysts’ expectations that economic recession is unlikely to affect iPhone sales as Apple targets high-end smartphone market. The analysts believe that inflation in core commodities such as food and fuel will have less of an impact on Apple’s relatively affluent user base.
Furthermore, the report stated that despite a fall in overall smartphone demand, iPhone sales remained strong in July that is rare since the smartphone sales slow during this period as consumers wait for new models to be released in September.
Apple’s iPhone 14 series is tipped to launch on September 13 and it will include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. According to leaks, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will sport a 6.1-inch display, while iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max will sport bigger 6.7-inch panels.
