The transmission of ARY News has been suspended across Pakistan on Sunday. According to the details, the transmission of ARY News was reportedly taken down after orders issued by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to different cable operators across the country.
ARY News is inaccessible to viewers in different cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, and other cities, while the channel’s position was also changed in some areas to keep people from accessing the transmission.
It is pertinent to mention that suspension of ARY News comes just hours after the media outlet aired a report regarding the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has been using its strategic media cell to malign the reputation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its chairman, Imran Khan.
According to the details, the report aired by ARY News that claimed the activation of the ruling PML-N’s strategic media cell to malign the reputation of PTI and Imran Khan was proved to be true by the media outlet. According to the details, the malicious campaign was meant to portray Imran Khan and PTI as anti-military to the general public.

Netizens are outraged at PEMRA over the decision to shut down ARY News transmission across the country and they are demanding the restoration of the channel through hashtag #RestoreARYNews, while accusing government of fascism through its policies.
Disseminating facts to the public became a crime, imported government was panicked and the broadcasting of ARY stopped across the country.

Pakistan's biggest news network take off the air for exposing Maryam's media & its attempt to politicize lasbela crash to distract people from its own failings as the imposed regime. PDM and its facilitators need to realize that eventually, this will backfire too. #RestoreARYNews
