Schools and Colleges in Sindh to Remain Closed Till August 27

The Government of Sindh has announced a holiday with all private and public schools and colleges to remain closed on Friday and Saturday (August 26-27) due to heavy monsoon rain and flooding in the province.

“All the Government and Private Educational Institutions, under the jurisdiction of School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh shall remain closed on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th August, 2022 due to rain emergency.” said the notification issued by the Sindh School Education and Literacy Department.

Meanwhile, a similar notification has also been issued by the Sindh College Education Department informing about the closure of schools and colleges due to rain emergency.

This is a copy of the notification:

“There is still a flood situation in many districts of Sindh and most of the schools and colleges of Sindh are under water and the relief campuses of the victims have changed Briefing to Education Minister Sardar Shah.” said the Sindh Education Minister, Syed Sardar Ali Shah on Twitter.

It is pertinent to mention that it is the second time that Government of Sindh has announced a holiday and closed all public and private schools and colleges in the province this week.
