The Finance Division have announced an increase in the Petrol Prices in Pakistan from 1 September 2022 on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. According to the details, the price of all petroleum products has been increased for the first half of September.
According to the announcement, Petrol Price in Pakistan has been increased by Rs. 2.07 per litre, while the Price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) in Pakistan has been increased by Rs. 2.99 per litre. Meanwhile, the Price of Kerosene Oil has been a increased by Rs. 10.92 per litre and the Price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) has been raised by Rs. 9.79 per litre.
This will bring the Price of Petrol in Pakistan at Rs. 235.98 per litre, while the Price of High-Speed Diesel will now be Rs. 247.43 per litre after the increase. Meanwhile, the new Price of Kerosene Oil will be Rs. 210.32 per litre and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) will now be sold at Rs. 201.54 per litre.

The Latest Petrol Prices in Pakistan will come into effect from 1 September 2022 and will remain unchanged for the first half of the month till 15 September 2022.
“In the fortnightly review of Petroleum Products’ prices, the Government has considered the recommendation to make partial increase in the prices of petroleum products in line with change in the international oil prices and fluctuation in the exchange rate.” said the Finance Division. “It is pertinent to mention that petroleum levy has been kept at minimum in order to provide relief to the consumers.” it added.

Earlier, it was being reported by multiple sources that Petrol Prices in Pakistan may be reduced by Rs. 20 litre. However, the Government has ended up raising the price of these commodities.
