The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday announced the squad for the seven-match T20I series against Pakistan, which is scheduled to start on 20th September 2022 at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Seam bowlers Chris Woakes and Mark Wood have recovered from their respective injuries and have been named for the squad, however, Chris Jordan and Liam Livingstone, will continue their rehab after being injured and will not tour Pakistan ahead of the World Cup.
England captain Jos Butler will tour Pakistan but he is only expected to play in the latter matches due to a calf injury. Moeen Ali will captain the team during his absence.
Five uncapped players have been announced for the first tour to Pakistan since 2005 including, Kent batter, Jordan Cox, Middlesex seamer, Tom Helm, Surrey right-handed bat, Will Jacks, Warwickshire quick, Olly Stone, and Lancashire seamer, Luke Wood,
