The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has carried out a successful raid at three different locations in Peshawar and arrested a gang involved in illegal issuance of SIM cards on Afghan passports.
During the raid, a total of ten suspects were arrested whereas copies of 450 Afghan passports, three laptops, four PC’s, and 15 mobile phones were recovered from their custody.
PTA added that the raid shows its commitment and persistent efforts in curbing the menace of illegal issuance of SIM cards in the country.
