PIA Offers Student Discount on One-Way Ticket to China After Severe Backlash

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a huge student discount on purchase on one-way ticket from Pakistan to China after the national flag carrier received severe backlash over ridiculous fares.

According to the details, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has raised the student discount from 10% to 15% and added that an additional 7% surcharge discount, for a total of 22% discount will be provided on flights between Pakistan and Pakistan.

Furthermore, PIA has also increased the luggage allowance for students from 40 kilograms to 80 kilograms.

It is pertinent to mention that PIA operates two special flights every week for students from Islamabad to Chengdu and Islamabad to Xian.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had received severe backlash on social media with hashtag #PIALootingPakStudents as the national flag carrier was charging Rs. 500,000 for a one-way ticket from Pakistan to China, while some airlines were reportedly charging up to Rs. 800,000.
