WhatsApp has announced Call Links, a feature that will allow users to join an ongoing call by tapping on shared link, which is something already being offered by other communication platforms like Zoom, Google Meet and more.
According to the details, the Call Links will work for anyone on WhatsApp, even if they’re not in your contacts. However, the user must have WhatsApp, otherwise they will be unable to join the ongoing call.
The feature isn’t something new as it is already part of several other online platforms like Zoom and Google Meet.
Call Links will be rolled out to all WhatsApp users within a few days and will make it easier for a lot of users to join calls.
All you need to do is create and send a Call Link to anyone WhatsApp and they simply tap the click to join the conversation.
