Xiaomi has launched its 200MP smartphone, the Xiaomi 12T Pro, alongside the base version, Xiaomi 12T, with both smartphones to be available starting October 13 in the global market. However, the launch of the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro and the price in Pakistan is yet to be confirmed by the company.
Xiaomi 12T Pro
The Xiaomi 12T Pro is the company’s first 200-megapixel camera and it is built around Samsung ISOCELL HP1, a 1/1.22” sensor with 0.64µm pixels, that can be binned to 1.28µm (4-in-1) or even 2.56µm (16-in-1) depending on lighting conditions and the user’s intentions.
However, the smartphone doesn’t offer any telephoto lens, but the high resolution sensor natively supports up to 2x lossless digital zoom. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 12T Pro can shoot videos in 8K and HDR10+ alongside Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) that offers more stable footage in the dark with longer exposure
The main camera also has advanced features like eye-tracking and motion-tracking autofocus. Meanwhile, the other cameras onboard the smartphone include an 8-megapixel ultrawide with its 1/4” sensor (1/1.12µm pixels) and an f/2.2 120° lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Xiaomi 12T Pro is equipped with a 20-megapixel selfie camera (1/3.47”, 0.8µm, f/2.24 and 78° lens) on the front with a punch-hole design on a large 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with 1,220 x 2,712px resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz that can automatically switch between 30, 60, 90, and 10Hz depending on the usage.
Furthermore, the display is a 12-bit panel with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, while offering 500 nits of typical brightness (900 nits peak) and it is guarded by Gorilla Glass 5.
In terms of processing power, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which offers a great balance between performance and efficiency. It is pertinent to mention that Xiaomi has beefed up the vapor chamber compared to the predecessor, 11T Pro, by 65% with 125% more thermal material.
The smartphone comes in 8/256GB, 8/256GB and 12/256GB configurations with Android 12 (MIUI 13) out of the box. Moreover, the 12T Pro is powered by a large 5000mAh battery with capability of charging at 120W (power brick included) that can charge the smartphone to 100% in just 19 minutes
Xiaomi 12T Pro Price in Pakistan
The Xiaomi 22T Pro will be available from October 13 and the price of the 8/128GB model is €750, while the 8/256GB is €800 and 12/256GB costs €850. However, the expected price of the Xiaomi 12T in Pakistan is Rs. 167,000 for the 8/128GB variant, Rs. 178,000 for 8/256GB, and Rs. 199,000 for 12/256GB.
Xiaomi 12T (Base Variant)
The Xiaomi 12T lacks some of the extraordinary features of the 12T Pro but the smartphone is still somewhat eye-catching considering the amazing AMOLED screen, battery, a 108-megapixel camera and solid performance offered by the Dimensity 8100-Ultra chipset.
The smartphone’s camera is based on the ISOCELL HM6, a 1/1.67” sensor with the same size pixels, 0.64µm, though it tops out at 9-in-1 binning for 1.92µm effective pixel size. Furthermore, the camera also has OIS and an f/1.7 aperture, however, it lacks 8K video recording and other advanced features like eye-tracking autofocus.
The remaining cameras are the same as on the Pro, including the 8MP ultra wide (1/4”, 1.12µm, f/2.2 and 120°) and 2MP macro, plus the 20MP selfie camera (1/3.47”, 0.8µm, f/2.24 and 78° FoV). Moreover, the display on the smartphone is the same as the 12T Pro with 6.67” 20:9 AMOLED panel with 1220p+ resolution.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro comes in 8/128GB or 8/256GB memory configurations with no 12GB option. Meanwhile, the battery on the smartphone is identical and also offers 120W charging .
Xiaomi 12T Price in Pakistan
The Xiaomi 12T will launch alongside the 12T Pro for €600 for a 8/128GB unit and €650 for the 8/125GB unit. Therefore, the expected price of the Xiaomi 12T Pro in Pakistan is Rs. 134,000 and Rs. 145,000, respectively.
