Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced to continue flights to Turkey from November 14. According to the details, the national airline will operate two weekly flights to Turkey’s capital Istanbul airport from Islamabad and Lahore with their latest Airbus 320.
The decision to resume flights from Lahore and Islamabad to Turkey will help Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to fetch significant revenue and cover the losses that is continues to endure.
It is pertinent to mention that PIA and other airlines had increased fares following suspension of train operations for four weeks from Lahore to Karachi as railway lines were submerged due to severe flooding across the country.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was recently criticized after raising fares to over Rs. 500,000 for a one-way ticket to China, which caused severe problems to students wanting to return to the neighboring country for the purpose of their studies.
However, PIA later announced a discount for these students along with increased luggage allowance to make up for incredibly high fares to China.
