Female reporter, Sadaf Naeem, working for a private news channel, died on Sunday after being crushed under PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container as the long march was moving from GT Road Lahore towards Kamoke, Gujranwala.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and Former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, announced to halt the long march’s for today and said it will continue tomorrow.
Imran Khan said that march was suppose to move towards Kamoke, Gujranwala, today. “However, due to the tragic incident, we will stop the march immediately.”
He also sent his condolences to the family of the deceased and said that he would pray for the departed soul.
Following the incident, Imran Khan immediately stepped out the container vehicle and rushed to the accident site.
“Shocked & deeply saddened by the terrible accident that led to the death of Channel 5 reporter Sadaf Naeem during our March today. I have no words to express my sorrow. My prayers & condolences go to the family at this tragic time. We have cancelled our March for today,” Khan said in a message on Twitter.

Sadaf Naeem was a reporter for Channel 5 news and she was covering Imran Khan’s long march live when the accident took place.
