The shooter who attempted the assassination of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has issued a statement to police after his arrest following the shooting incident during PTI Long March at the Wazirabad in Gujranwala.
In his confession, the attacker told police that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, was misguiding people, therefore, he decided to end his life.
The added that the decision to assassinate Imran Khan was made of his own free will and nobody else was behind the attack. He said that he came on his own motorcycle, which was parked at his uncle’s shop and carried out the attack alone.
The attacker said that he only wanted to kill Imran Khan and nobody else.

It is pertinent to mention that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was injured along with several other people, while one person lost his life after this person opened fire on the Former Prime Minister’s container.

Imran Khan was shifted to Shaukat Khanum hospital for treatment, where a team of doctors under the leader of Former Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health, Dr. Faisal Sultan, performed the operation.
