England has been crowned the champions of the T20 World Cup 2022 after defeating Pakistan by five wickets at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
England had won the toss and elected to bowl first and they were able to restrict Pakistan to a low score of just 137-8 thanks to Sam Curran, who bagged three wickets for just 12 runs.
Curran proved to be deadly for Mohammad Rizwan, Masood, and Mohammad Nawaz, while Adil Rashid was able to dismiss Mohammad Haris with his opening ball and then taking the crucial wicket of Babar Azam to end with 2-22.

Pakistan tried its best during the second innings to restrict England from reaching the target of 138 and they were able to take some crucial wickets, however, they failed to take home the T20 World Cup 2022.
England did not get off to the best start as they lost Alex Hales in the very first over and this seemed that it could be a difficult chase for them. However, Jos Buttler provided a much needed counter by scoring 26 runs off 17 balls, while Ben Stokes made sure to take home to T20 World Cup 2022 champion’s title with the help of Harry Brook and Moeen Ali towards the end.
