The Government of Sindh has announced a public holiday on 26 (for Christian employees) and 27 December 2022 on the occasion for Christmas and the death anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, respectively.
Public Holiday in Sindh on 27 December 2022
The Government of Sindh has also announced a public holiday in the province on 27 December 2022 on the occasion of the shahadat of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. “The Government of Sindh has been pleased to declare 27’s December, 2022 (Tuesday) as a public holiday throughout the province of Sindh on the occasion of shahadat of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed for all offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of Government of Sindh,” said the notification.
It added that there will be an exception for essential services and those engaged in COVID-19 emergency and flood relief duties.

Christmas Holiday in Sindh
Furthermore, the Government of Sindh has announced a special holiday for Christians only on the occasion of Christmas. “The Government of Sindh hereby declares 26 December, 2022 (Monday) a Public Holiday (for Christians Only) on the occasion of Day after Christmas throughout the Province of Sindh.” said the notification. However, it mentioned that there will be an exception for essential services and those engaged in COVID-19 emergency and flood relief duties.
