The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday announced a reduction in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Pakistan for January 2023.
According to the details, the price of LPG in Pakistan has been reduced by Rs. 11.59 per kg, which brings the new lowered price of the commodity to Rs. 204.35.
In addition, OGRA has reduced the price of a domestic cylinder of LPG by Rs. 136.86 and its new price for consumers has been set at Rs. 2,411.43. Although, it is always hard to find LPG at the Government issued prices and dealers do tend to charge a little extra per kg.
It is pertinent to mention that price of LPG was increased by Rs. 11.79 per kg in December 2022, which brought the rate to Rs. 215.95 per kg.
However, the reduction in the LPG price in Pakistan will provide much needed relief to consumers during these harsh winter months when natural gas supplies are already limited, which leads to several hours of loadshedding every day.
