SSGC Reports Explosion of Gas Pipeline in Balochistan

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Limited has reported an explosion of a 12-inch diameter pipeline in Sirajabad, Bolan, Balochistan on Tuesday.

According to the details, the gas pipeline exploded at around 8 pm on Tuesday night and law enforcement and intelligence agencies are making efforts to decipher the cause of the damage.

SSGC states that local administration is handling the situation by cleaning up the surrounding area during the night. However, the rupture of the SSGC gas pipeline has suspended the gas supply in Mach, Mastung, Qalat, Ziarat, and other adjoining areas.

The gas company added that until damaged line is fully repaired, the SSGC will provide gas to the affected population through alternate means.

After security clearance, the SSGC’s technical teams will find out the real cause of the damage through a preliminary investigation in the morning, after which the repair work will start.
