Karachi Kings vs Lahore Qalandars – PSL 8 Match 8 Highlights

The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 8 2023) continues with full enthusiasm with Match 8 between Karachi Kings vs Lahore Qalandars taking place today at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. The hosts of the game, Karachi Kings, have won their first match of the tournament by 67 runs after 3 consecutive defeats.

Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to bowl first, however, they were unable to restrict Karachi Kings, who were able to set a decent target of 186 runs to win the game.

Karachi Kings made a good start to the innings with Mathew Wade and James Vince scoring 36 and 46 runs, respectively. In total, they added 70 runs for the opening wicket before Wade was run out and Haider Ali came in and managed to add 18 runs off 16 balls.

Shoaib Malik gave a disappointing performance compared to the last game as he only managed 10 runs off 7 balls. Meanwhile, Imad Wasim and Ben Cutting managed to score 35 and 20 runs to allow Karachi Kings to set a target of 186 runs.

Overall, Lahore Qalandars performed poorly with their bowling and even gave 19 extra runs. However, expect for Sikandar Raza and David Wiese, everyone did manage to take wicket.

Lahore Qalandars tried hard but lost all their wickets before the going through all the overs.

Mirza Tahir Baig played well and scored 45 runs off 39 balls, but rest of the team failed to keep up and barely score over 20 runs, except Kamran Ghulam, who managed 23 runs, but off 22 balls.
