Quetta Gladiators vs Islamabad United – PSL 8 Match 13 Highlights

Quetta Gladiators vs Islamabad United played head to head in Match 13 of Pakistan Super League’s eighth season (PSL 8 2023). This was an easy win for Islamabad United, who won the match by 63 runs.

Islamabad United won the toss and decided to bat first, which is a first for any team during this season of the PSL and it was the right decision as they were able to set a target of 221 runs for the Quetta Gladiators.

Despite a rough start to the innings after losing an early wicket with Rahmanullah Gurbaz scoring just 8 runs, while Colin Munro kept going to score 38 runs from just 22 balls.

The United lost two more wickets as Rassie van der Dussen and Shadab Khan was dismissed for just 1 run and 12 runs, respectively. However, Azam Khan turned the game around as he scored 97 runs from just 42 balls, while Asif Ali also gave a strong performance and added 42 runs from 24 balls.

Faheem Ashraf, who came in towards the end of the innings also managed to score a solid 17 runs from just 6 balls.

Quetta Gladiators lost their top order in the first four overs with Jason Roy, and Will Smeed being able to score just 5 and 17 runs, while opener Martin Guptill was dismissed on the first ball with no score.

Mohammad Hafeez managed to pick up the pace a little bit as he scored 48 runs of 26 balls, while Sarfaraz Ahmed also added 41 runs from 36 balls. Further, Iftikhar Ahmed managed to score 39 runs off 27 balls, while Muhammad Nawaz scored just 1 run and Odean Smith failed to score anything.
