Lahore Qalandars vs Islamabad United – PSL 8 Match 16 Highlights

The second leg of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) continues with Lahore Qalandars vs Islamabad United playing in Match 16 of the tournament at the Qaddafi Stadium. Lahore Qalandars won the match by 110 runs.

Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to bat first and they were able to set a target of 201 runs for Islamabad United in the 16th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2023 (PSL 8) taking place in Lahore.

Mirza Tahir Baig and Fakhar Zaman gave a good start to the Lahore Qalandars as they scored 26 and 36 runs, respectively.

Abdullah Shafique managed 45 runs off 24 balls, while Sam Billings scored 33 runs from 23 balls. However, Hussain Talat was unable to perform and managed just 6 runs off 5 balls. David Wiese came to the crease but he was sent packing back by Abrar Ahmed for just 12 runs.

Rashid Khan managed to score 18 runs towards the end of the innings.

In the second innings, it seemed like a normal start for the Islamabad United, but it quickly went sideways after the team lost their opening wickets with Colin Munro and Rahmanullah Gurbaz scoring 18 and 23 runs, respectively.

The rest of batting lineup failed miserably and could barely score ten runs each. The entire batter’s lineup was decimated by Lahore Qalandars in just 13.5 overs for 90 runs.
