Lahore Qalandars vs Quetta Gladiators go head to head in Match 18 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 8 2023) at the Qaddafi Stadium. Lahore Qalandars won the match by 18 runs.
Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bowl first, which was the right decision since they were able to restrict Lahore Qalandars to a total of just 148 runs.
Lahore Qalandars had a rough start with as Quetta Gladiators claimed wicket after wicket until Sikandar Raza, who managed to score 71 runs off 34 balls, a much needed score to set a reasonable target, while Rashid Khan managed 21 runs.
The rest of the lineup failed miserably and barely scored over ten runs, while Abdullah Shafique and Shaheen Afridi managed 15 and 16 runs, respectively.
Quetta Gladiators had a decent start to their batting, however, it all went downhill after Yasir Khan was dismissed for 14 runs off 15 balls. Mohammad Hafeez and Iftikhar Ahmed followed shorty after that with only 2 and 3 runs, respectively.
However, opener Will Smeed did manage much needed 32 runs off 25 balls, while Sarfaraz Ahmed also managed to add 27 runs off 28 balls. Odean smith and Umaid Asif scored 11 runs each, while Muhammad Nawaz could only score 4 runs.
