Srinagar: Appealing the people of Kashmir to remain united at this ‘crucial’ time, Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday said that some miscreants with vested interests are trying to create fissures on sectarian lines. A statement issued by the party appealed people to remain extremely cautious and vigilant of such king of masterminds.
However, Mirwaiz continues to remain under house detention at his Nageen residence wherefrom he has strongly condemned the imposition of curfew in entire Kashmir during the holy month of Ramadan.
“People were denied from offering prayers in Masjids and there was also shortage of food essentials which has become the extreme cause of suffering for common masses,” Mirwaiz said.
In view of the ‘continuous killing of Kashmiris’, Mirwaiz has appealed international community and human rights organizations to intervene and put pressure on India to ‘stop bloodbath’ in Kashmir.
