Kashmir Srinagar: Hurriyat (G) Saturday alleged that an Army Major in Zainakot area threatens local youth of dire consequences in case they continuously stage protest against the Ramban blood bath. Meanwhile in the same area, CRPF personnel ransacked the residential houses and smashed the windowpanes of a Masjid after youth took to streets against the Gool killings.
Hurriyat G spokesperson Ayaz Akbar said that an Army Major from 2 RR has collected phone numbers of scores of youth in Zainakot area and he is continuously threatening these youth of dire consequences on phone in case they participate in protests against Gool killings.
“Scores of youth are being threatened of dire consequences by this Army Major and he is tell them that Army would teach them a lesson after few days. We have taken a serious note of this development and we warn of wide spread protests in case the youth of the area are being continuously harassed,” Ayaz Akbar said.
Meanwhile Hurriyat (G) spokesperson condemned the CRPF (44 Battalion) action in Zainakot wherein they not only smashed the windowpanes of ‘Khulfa-i-Rashdeen’ Masjid but also ransacked the residential houses and beat the inmates. “CRPF personnel damaged the houses of Mohammad Azeem Kaproo, Nazir Ahmed Guroo and Farooq Ahmed Wagay completely and even not spared the children and beat the inmates to pulp,” he said adding such tactics on part of Indian Troopers can’t suppress people.
