A 5.6 magnitude earthquake hit Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, and other cities of Pakistan on Wednesday.
According to the details, the tremors were also felt as far as Multan, North Waziristan, and Swabi.
The epicenter of the earthquake was the Hindukush region, as per the European Seismic Monitoring Centre. Meanwhile, the Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre said the depth of the earthquake was 187 kilometers.
There have been no reports of any loss of life or damage from the quake.
It is pertinent to mention that a 6.8 magnitude earthquake jolted cities of Pakistan in March 2023 and took the lives of nine people, while injuring over 160 others.
The earthquake in March was felt across several countries in the region.
