The caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab has imposed a ban on use of drone cameras for coverage of 9th and 10th Muharram processions to avoid any untoward incident and maintain law and order situation during the religious events.
According to the details, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, which focused on maintaining the law and order situation of the province during the Muharram processions.
The key discussions of the meeting was centered on reviewing the security plan, especially for Ashura, when large processions and congregations take place. The meeting was aimed at ensuring the safety of everyone, especially foreign nationals, particularly Chinese nationals, in light of the recent security concerns.
In maintain security, it was decided that join flag marches will be conducted by the Army, Rangers, and police forces to demonstrate a show of force and deter any potential threats.
The caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab also directed the commissioners and RPOs to prepare advance plans for processions and gatherings. Furthermore, the a ban was place on the use of drone cameras in Punjab during the 9th and 10th Muharram processions.
