X, formerly known as Twitter, has made TweetDeck a paid service by putting it behind a paywall with the microblogging platform’s users being redirected to a subscription page. TweetDeck.
TweetDeck, which has been rebranded to X Pro, now requires users to buy X’s blue checkmark verification for annual fee of $84 in order to use the service.
TweetDeck, now called X Pro, allows users to watch several accounts and lists of users simultaneously, which makes using the platform easier while checking for updates and trending topics.
According to the details, the reason behind making TweetDeck a paid service is to boost the company’s profit, which is part of many changes brought to the company by Elon Musk since his takeover last year.
