The Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (IESCO) has installment on consumers’ electricity bills as a form of relief after protests broke out in the capital against heavy billing following hike in power tariff.
IESCO Chief, Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan, has directed all IESCO offices to provide the facility of installment for consumers on their monthly electricity bills, adding that anyone can contact relevant Sub-Divisional Office, Revenue Office or Consumer Service Centers regarding bill inquiries.
The development comes after multiple protests broke out in major cities across the country, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi with consumers taking to the streets against extremely heavy billing by Power Distribution Companies (DISCOs).
