Is Pak Suzuki Reducing Car Prices After Rupee’s Recovery?

Kia Lucky Motor Corporation (KLMC) has recently announced a reduction in prices, which has left everyone wondering if Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) plans to cut prices for its cars since the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) has appreciated significantly against the US Dollar (USD).

Currently, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has not announced or hinted towards a price reduction for any vehicle. The company is struggling to keep up sales and assembly after observing several non-production days (NPDs) over the past few months.

According to sales figures provided by Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), the automakers were only able to sell 6,410 units during the month of September 2023. While sales figures are improving compared to the last three months, the automotive industry is still struggling due to the country’s economic situation and recovering from such an impact will take some time.

Kia Pakistan’s move to reduce prices came as a surprise and no other automotive company has come forward with a price reduction. While Pak Suzuki has not made any cuts in prices of its cars in Pakistan, the company has announced several offers, including free registration, rebates, as well as a price lock for the month of October 2023.

If Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) plans on reducing prices, it won’t be this month as the automaker will continue offering current promotions. However, if Pakistani Rupee (PKR) continues to recover and remains stable against the US Dollar (USD), the company might just announce a reduction in prices in the coming weeks.
