As Dubai gears up for its grand New Year’s Eve celebration at the iconic Burj Khalifa, organizers have unveiled additional details about the upcoming spectacle.
Emaar Properties disclosed that the New Year’s Eve 2024 show in Downtown Dubai will epitomize a seamless fusion of technology, artistic brilliance, and human creativity.
The intricate visual composition on the façade of the Burj Khalifa was meticulously crafted over 671 working days by a team of visionaries and technicians. Setting a new standard, this year’s show boasts 325 strategically positioned firing locations, choreographed to deliver a mesmerizing display in the night sky, as stated by the organizers.
In a tribute to the spirit of Dubai, more than 2,800 shooting directions will transform the night sky into a vibrant tapestry of colors and shapes. The performance will showcase an unprecedented 15,682 pyrotechnic elements, each featuring a distinct firing sequence meticulously coordinated using cutting-edge computer technology.
In tandem with this visual extravaganza, the Dubai Fountain will stage a captivating choreography of its own. Directed by Peter Kopik, WET’s chief choreographer with nearly three decades of experience in fountain choreography, this year’s Dubai Fountain show promises a breathtaking blend of water artistry, light, and sound, synchronized with the Burj Khalifa’s display.
The show will boast over 6,600 lights and 127 strobe strings illuminating the water, accompanied by 6,700 fog nozzles creating an enchanting atmosphere.
The organizers also noted that a limited number of tickets for prime viewing spots in Burj Park are still available for purchase on Platinum list.
