The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) announced a raise in the power tariff of Rs 3.07 per unit.
This increase is attributed to the fuel cost adjustment in October.
These updated rates will be applicable to all consumers, with the exception of K-Electric and lifeline users.
NEPRA clarified that the electricity generation included 9.25 billion units from furnace sources and 3.11 billion units from hydropower sources.
