Xiaomi Launches Redmi Soundbar in China

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has introduced its first desktop audio accessory with the launch of a computer soundbar. This marks a significant move for Redmi into the desktop audio accessory market, showcasing a sleek cylindrical design in matte grey for a visually appealing addition to various desktop setups.

The Redmi desktop soundbar takes the audio experience up a notch with four acoustic units, ensuring exceptional sound quality. One standout feature is its RGB ambient lighting, designed to sync with sound and create a real-time color rhythm, enhancing the overall desktop environment for a dynamic and immersive user experience.

Equipped with professional Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, the speaker optimizes audio performance across different scenarios, including music, gaming, and movies. Despite its advanced features, the Redmi computer speaker maintains an affordable price point of 199 yuan ($27), aligning with Redmi’s commitment to offering value-driven products.

Pre-orders for the soundbar are set to commence on December 7th. While the teaser provides a glimpse of its design and key features, detailed specifications and capabilities are yet to be officially disclosed. As of now, the product is not listed on the Xiaomi online store.

This follows Redmi’s previous foray into the audio segment with the Redmi TV Soundbar, also priced at 199 yuan. The earlier soundbar featured two 30W speakers and offered versatile connectivity options, including S/PDIF, AUX, and Bluetooth 5.0, presenting a minimalist design with a matte black finish and subtle branding.
