Honor is gearing up to announce the Honor X50 GT smartphone on January 4 in China, featuring the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The device’s design has been confirmed through released posters, showcasing a curved-edge OLED display and color options of black and white.
The white variant includes a distinctive golden strip, indicating a powerful 108-megapixel primary camera, while the black variant boasts a simpler back design. Despite visual revelations, Honor has not disclosed detailed specifications for the X50 GT.
Reports suggest the X50 GT may share similarities with the upcoming Honor X50 Pro, which is rumored to target the offline market, while the X50 GT focuses on the online audience. The Honor X50 Pro is expected to offer impressive specifications, including an OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, up to 16 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB of storage. It is equipped with a substantial 5,800mAh battery supported by 35W fast charging, running on Magic OS 7.2-based Android 14. Security features include an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and there are speculations that it might be priced around 2,000 Yuan (~$280).
