Reports state that the next iPhone 16 series won’t have big changes in terms of design as Apple is focusing on adding smart AI features. A YouTube channel called AppleTrack and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo help us understand what might be different in the iPhone 16 Pro models.
One big change might be Apple making the Dynamic Island on iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max smaller, which will allow a higher screen-to-body ratio. A video shows a punch-hole cutout for the iPhone 16 Pro in the middle. This might mean that they will switch from Dynamic Island which has been around for two years now. Furthermore, Apple wants to add a special Capture button next to the power button.
The size of the iPhone 16 Pro display is expected to go from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the Pro Max will have a bigger screen size of 6.9-inches compared to the current 6.7 inches. Some reports state that the iPhone 16 Pro might have a 5x tetraprism optical zoom camera, which was only found in the iPhone 15 Pro Max earlier. Expert Kuo shares more news that both Pro models will get a better 12MP wide-angle camera. They’ll switch to a bigger, high quality 48MP camera with a 1/2.55 inches sensor.
AppleTrack says that ‘Pro’ label will stay, along with the new A18 Pro chipset. In more recent news, Kuo says that all iPhone 17 models in 2025 will have a better 24MP selfie camera. The information all together suggests that Apple’s plan is to make small improvements and add AI (Artificial Intelligence) in their upcoming iPhone models.
