Here’s the Initial Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024

The highly anticipated ICC T20 World Cup 2024 has finalized its initial schedule, with Pakistan and India put in the same group. The tournament, scheduled to take place in the United States and the West Indies, promises excitement from June 4 to June 30, showcasing the talents of a total of 20 participating teams.

In the preliminary round, the 20 teams are strategically divided into four groups. According to reports, Pakistan and India find themselves sharing a group with Ireland, Canada, and the host nation, the United States.

In a noteworthy development, a significant portion of the preliminary matches involving Pakistan’s group is set to unfold in the United States. The action kicks off with Pakistan facing off against the USA on June 6, followed by the much-anticipated clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India in New York on June 9.

The New York cricket fervor continues with Pakistan taking on Canada on June 11, while the first-round encounter with Ireland is scheduled to light up Florida on June 16.

Post the preliminary round, the top two teams from each of the four groups will advance to the Super Eight round, where they will be further divided into two groups.

Reports reveal that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has dispatched the schedule to cricket boards and broadcasters for feedback and approval. The final schedule is anticipated to be officially released soon.

However, some reports suggest a potential adjustment to the schedule due to the timing of the much-anticipated Pakistan-India clash and the time zone disparities between the USA and the subcontinent. With New York ten hours behind Pakistan’s time, the initially planned afternoon match there would translate to a late-night affair in Pakistan.
