Dubai Police recently conducted the ‘Winter Clothing’ initiative, distributing winter attire to 350 workers residing in Jebel Ali’s labor accommodations. This collaborative effort involved the Positive Spirit Initiative, the General Department of Human Rights, Jebel Ali Police Station, Safety Ambassadors, and the ‘Thanks for your Giving’ team, along with support from the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corp.
Fatima Bouhjar, coordinator of the Positive Spirit Initiative, Mohammed Abdullah Al Baloushi from Dubai Customs, Saif Al Rahmani Amir, head of the ‘Thanks for your Giving’ team, and generous supporter Aisha Al Marzouqi attended the event. Bouhjar highlighted the initiative’s role in promoting values of tolerance, coexistence, and dialogue, emphasizing the importance of rejecting hatred, violence, aggression, and discrimination while respecting and accepting others.
The event also included educational sessions on workers’ rights by the General Department of Human Rights, a raffle, prizes, and other enjoyable activities for the laborers.
