Hydrogen-powered cars are about to be integrated into the fleet in Abu Dhabi tour company, Nirvana Tours and Logistics (NTL), a part of Nirvana Holding Company collaborating together with MMEC Mannesmann—a local company founded on the energy sector. This initiative is in line with the COP28 momentum that highlights a pledge to green modes of transport linked to UAE leadership directives on sustainability.
The NTL, associated to the Nirvana Travel and Tourism, will test six hydrogen cars in order to handle increasing levels of emissions by transport industries. The importance of implementing a 3% yearly reduction for transport emissions to realize net-zero by 2050 is indicated by the International Energy Agency. This project is in line with the UAE’s goal of Greener Future and matches discussions at COP28.
