The Ministry of Interior in Kuwait has made major changes to the procedure for application dependent visas. This initiative is based on the instructions of Sheikh Fahd Al Yousef, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Acting Minister of Interior.
The new regulations have made it slightly difficult for expatriates who want their families to come into Kuwait through stringent policies.
The revised policy stipulates a minimum salary of 800 Kuwaiti dinars for eligibility. Furthermore, applicants need to have a university education and their job in Kuwait should coincide with their academic background.
These changes are part of a bigger initiative aimed at simplifying procedures for issuing dependent visas to expatriates who apply for family visas that meet certain criteria. The objective is to control the expatriate community in Kuwait, particularly by recruiting and retaining highly educated professionals.
