Like every other political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has also released a manifesto for the upcoming General Elections, which are scheduled to take place on 8 February 2024.
PTI’s manifesto envisions a Madinah-inspired state with a focus on Islamic values, welfare, and key principles like the rule of law, governance, justice, and accountability.
The proposed constitutional amendments by PTI aim to change the process of electing the prime minister, reduce the tenures of the National Assembly and Senate, and modify the election process for Senators.
PTI also pledges the establishment of a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” to foster national unity, alongside commitments to broaden the tax net, expand healthcare through the Sehat Card, reinstate the Ehsaas program, and implement a uniform education system.
Notably, the party emphasizes accountability, addressing white-collar crimes, creating provincial anti-corruption forces, and establishing an elite anti-corruption academy.
