In the Kot Addu district of Punjab, a clash between the supporters of two candidates resulted in injuries to as many as 15 people. The confrontation ensued following a heated exchange of words between the two groups concerning a voting-related matter.
Supporters of PML-N candidate Amjad Abbas Chandia and independent candidate Murtaza Raheem Khar engaged in a physical altercation, employing batons and arms during the clash. Among the 15 individuals injured, four sustained critical injuries and were subsequently transported to Nishtar Hospital in Multan.
To restore order, Rangers and police personnel promptly arrived at the scene, successfully gaining control of the situation.
