After a prolonged wait, Apple is reshaping the user experience for Windows users with the launch of three new apps: Apple TV, Apple Music and the company’s devices. This step is aimed at reducing the dependence on iTunes, offering a simpler and more direct way for Windows users to access Apple’s entertainment content and device management features. The apps, which have been extensively tested as part of a collaboration between Apple and Microsoft to improve cross-platform user experiences, are now available to download.
For TV, movies and music lovers, the Apple TV app gives them access to content where they watch shows or listen to songs from their iTunes library or explore subscription services. The Apple Devices app makes it easier to manage iPhones and iPads from a Windows PC, including backup, restore operations as well as content synchronization.
Along with these new apps, Apple has improved the iCloud for Windows app to make it more compatible with Windows systems. This wider initiative guarantees a smooth experience for Windows users. This collaboration has been adopted by Microsoft as it integrates iCloud Photos into the Windows 11’s Photos app.
These apps are available for Windows 10 or Windows 11 PCs and not yet on ARM64-based devices. However, Apple’s dedication to broadening its audience easier access for Windows users who can now enjoy their services seamlessly without relying on iTunes.
