The Dubai driving license tests held on Monday at various road test centers in Dubai were cancelled due to the bad weather conditions and continuous rains which caused waterlogging in the city, RTA announced. Several roads were rendered impassable by flooding, and this left morning commuters to make their way through the streets clogged with water. The RTA, putting the safety first, came out with a statement that highlighted the postponing of the driving tests for that day.
Dubai resident Fasna Mohammed, set to complete her final road test, received a notification about the postponement due to weather conditions. She expressed approval, stating it was a wise decision to avoid driving in the rain.
The RTA, addressing the impact of rainfall in Dubai, deployed emergency teams to ensure the restoration of smooth traffic flow. Additionally, the transport authority issued safety reminders to motorists during rainy weather, emphasizing maintaining a safe distance between vehicles, adhering to traffic signs, driving cautiously, and checking the validity of brakes and tires.
Despite the inconveniences caused by the weather, these measures aim to safeguard the well-being of drivers and ensure a secure transportation environment in Dubai.
