Mwasalat, a public transport operator in Muscat, has confirmed to start a new bus service that will connect Sharjah and Muscat, making it easy to travel between the UAE and Oman.
A deal between Mwasalat, the national transport company of Oman, and the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority will start daily services from February 27. This route is designed to be operated with four trips per day, two departures from both Sharjah and Muscat with Shinas as the hub.
Passengers would be allowed to carry a maximum of 23kg as check-in luggage, with 7kg hand luggage allowed. The service fare costs start from 10 Omani Rials (similarly, Dh95.40) and end at 29 Omani Rials (Dh276.66).
The initial bus from Sharjah will leave Al Jubail Bus Station at 6:30 am is the time of my arrival at Azaiba Bus Station at 2:30 pm. Subsequently, the second bus will depart Sharjah at 4:00 pm, reaching Muscat by 11:50 pm.
Conversely, the first bus from Muscat will depart at 6:30 am and will arrive in Sharjah at 3:40 pm. The second departure from Muscat will be at 4:00 pm, arriving at Al Jubail Bus Station by 1:10 o’clock.
