Another tragic incident occurred in Karachi’s Malir Liaquat Market, where a young man named Nabeel was shot dead by armed robbers during a resistance. Nabeel, a resident of Sher Shah Karachi, was visiting his relatives in Malir when the robbers attacked him and opened fire when he resisted handing over his bike.
Similarly, in a previous incident near Karachi’s Ghani Chowrangi, another young man named Hikmatullah, 18, was fatally shot by armed robbers after refusing to surrender his mobile phone. Hailing from Chaman, Hikmatullah had recently moved to Karachi for employment and was working in the electronics market in Saddar.
The body of Hikmatullah was taken to the hospital for medico-legal procedures before being handed over to his family. In a separate incident in Malir, a 55-year-old man named Haider Raza was also shot dead by muggers when he resisted a robbery attempt. Haider Raza, returning home from a bank after withdrawing his salary, was attacked outside his house in Saudabad area of Malir district.
