Samsung introduced the Galaxy Ring at Mobile World Conference 2024, following its preview at the Unpacked event in January. This wearable focuses on health and wellness, competing with products like the Oura Ring.
The Galaxy Ring boasts a simple yet sturdy design and comes in platinum silver, gold, and ceramic black. It offers sizes ranging from S to XL, accommodating various preferences. Battery capacity ranges from 14.5mAh to 21.5mAh, depending on ring size.
Equipped with sensors for health tracking, Samsung partners with Natural Cycles for fertility monitoring, akin to the Oura Ring’s functionality. It features typical health tracking such as sleep, heart rate, steps, and breathing. Users receive personalized health advice based on sleep data and a “My Vitality Score” gauges overall readiness, complemented by science-based tips through “Booster Cards.”
The Galaxy Ring integrates with Samsung Health and Galaxy Watch devices, with pricing and release slated for later this year. Initially, it’s only compatible with Samsung Galaxy smartphones, with plans for broader Android and potentially iOS compatibility in the future.
